ADÉLA - PRIMA album

ADÉLA steps fully into her solo-pop identity with PRIMA, a debut album built around ambition, vulnerability, confidence and the complicated reality of chasing a dream far from home.

The title fits the story closely, connecting to both “first” and ADÉLA’s background in ballet, while the 11-track project moves between hard-edged pop moments and more exposed songwriting. There is a deliberate contrast between swagger and insecurity, giving the record room to sound playful on one track and personal on another.

Across the album, tracks such as “KGB”, “Nicole Kidman”, “Boys” and “Red Bottoms” lean into the bigger, attitude-heavy side of her sound, while “Therapy” brings the writing closer to the personal experiences behind the public image. “Ain’t In LA” adds another layer by reflecting on her journey from Slovakia towards her pop ambitions.

That contrast is one of the more interesting things about PRIMA. ADÉLA does not keep the project inside one emotional box. The production can feel forceful and polished, but the subject matter often comes back to identity, relationships, insecurity and the pressure that comes with wanting more from life. The result gives the album a clear sense of personality without making every track chase the same mood.

For a debut, the project feels closely tied to the person behind the pop image. There is ambition everywhere, but so are moments of uncertainty and self-examination. That combination makes the album easier to connect with because its confidence does not completely hide the young woman still figuring things out underneath it.
